Where do I start?
Based on your consultation with one of our Branding Specialist, we will recommend and send you a personalized sample kit. In your consultation, share your ideas, vision, design and marketing strategy with us to ensure we can fully support your vision once we go to production. After receiving the samples, we encourage you to contact us before sampling to ensure we can answer any questions you may have in your personalized sample kit.
As you’re sampling the products, begin renaming the products you would like to move forward with and advise your Branding Specialist for any custom back copy changes you may have.
Once you’ve selected the first few products you would like to launch, select your packaging options and send us your designs. Production begins after you approve each individual artwork.
Why should I start my own private label hair products?
Why not? You already have a salon following; why sell someone else’s product line when you can sell your own? Private label products gives you a minimum of 60% profit-margin.
Starting a private label line is absolutely diversion-free. You will never see your product line sold at your local pharmacy or supermarket for a lower price.
Where are you located and can we tour your facility?
All of our warehouses including the main facility are located in Chatsworth, Ca. We absolutely encourage you to visit our facility! We will show you how your private label products are made from concept to launch.
Do you offer natural or organic products?
For over 40 years, Aware Branding has always stood by our Salon Owners. We specialize in formulating salon-grade professional products and pride ourselves in continuously innovating high-performing products. Creating a formula that can be called “Organic” or “Natural” is feasible with our Contract Manufacturing division.
Within our stock formulation of private label shampoos, conditioners and styling products, we offer Sulfate free, Paraben free, MIT free and 100% Vegan products. We also have several libraries that contain “Certified Organic Extracts”. Ask your Branding Specialist which of our private label shampoo and conditioners match what you’re looking for.
Who’s information is on the back of the bottle?
Yours! We are your manufacturer. You have the option to either say, “Manufactured for” or “Distributed by”.
What are your minimums to get started?
Starting your own private label product line may seem overwhelming. We recommend you start between 6 to 8 formula to ensure you convey a strong brand presence once you start merchandising at the salon. Ask your Branding Specialist which Intro Kit you can take advantage of. To assist you in getting started, an introductory offer typically gives you 6 different products at 24 pieces each with complimentary silk-screens for $999.99. When you reorder, the minimum is 48 pieces, per size, per bottle.

What are your minimums to reorder?
Half ounce sample size minimum is 100 pieces. Sizes between 2 oz to 16 oz is 48 pieces per size, per bottle. 32 oz size is 24 pieces and 128 oz or Gallon is 12 pieces with a one color pass only.
No minimums on unscreened 32 oz (liter) or 128 oz (gallon) items
Can I reorder less than 48 pieces per sku?
Yes! We understand your storage challenges. You can reorder 24 pieces per size, per bottle. However, a 20% surcharge fee per unit is applicable.
Do you offer free freight?
We offer free freight on product orders over $2,000 within the continental U.S. If you join our Club Aware® Program, the threshold goes down to $1,500 plus you can receive additional progressive benefits.
Can you help me design my logo?
Of course! Designs are complimentary with your silkscreen set up fees.
I already have a design. Do I still need to pay for the silkscreen set-up fee?
Yes. The silkscreen fee is just the cost of the material, labor and film. (check out the video at the end of this page!)
A new item silkscreen fee is $75.00* and to revise your silk-screen is $45.00. We guarantee your silkscreens from the normal wear and tear through its lifetime.
How many colors do you offer for your silkscreens?
Standard 2-Color Pass is included in your silkscreen set up. Additional cost per unit will apply for a 3rd Color Pass.
What are the minimums to use labels instead of silkscreen?
Contact one of our Contract Representatives for additional labeling information.
What are your lead times?
Standard lead times for silkscreened items ship between five to seven business days. Unscreened gallons ship between three to 5 business days. Often times due to our efficiency, orders ship sooner than the standard lead time.
If I place my order today, when will you charge my credit card?
ClubCredit cards are charged when the order is ready to ship.
How do I add items to my existing private label line?
There are no limitations on adding to your existing product line. We encourage you to launch additional products gradually. Contact your Account Executive and we will assist you in selecting the next item on your product line.
What is Club Aware®
Club Aware® is an extensive support and reward program for our Aware Branding® salon and spa partners. This innovative program provides the necessary tools for successfully marketing, selling your private label brand while fighting national brand diversion.
Your Account Executive is available to address any questions that you may have and to assist you in managing your benefits.
How does Aware Branding support my Salon/Brand?
Our monthly and flash promotions will be forwarded directly in your inbox. Additionally, your Account Executive will contact you and discuss which of your private label shampoo, conditioner or styling product is on promotion. We source and store collateral that we screen in-house with your logo and feature this during salon peak season to assist you in promoting your salon and private label line. In the past, we have offered our customers Personalized Water Tumblers, Personalized Continuous Water Bottle Sprayer, Personalized Holiday Gift Box, Silkscreened Mirrrors, Brushes, etc.
Our Club Aware® Program offers Point Accrual and Backbar Program. For every dollar you spend you earn points that can redeem complimentary gallon, sample size or silkscreen.
Lastly, your Account Executive will guide you with inventory management and how to connect with your staff on advocating at-home care.
